The National Flag of India is a horizontal rectangular tricolor consisting of three different colors, Deep Saffron, White, and Green. It has a ratio of 2:3 (The length of the Flag is 1.5 times that of Breadth).
All three colors of our Tiranga indicate three different values, the Deep Saffron color symbolizes courage and sacrifice, White represents honesty and purity and the Green color symbolizes the fertility and growth of our land.
It was designed by an Indian Freedom Fighter named Pingali Venkayya in the year of 1931 and finally adopted in its present form on 22 July 1947.
