The National Flag of India is a horizontal rectangular tricolor consist of three different colors, Deep Saffron, White, and Green. It has a ratio of 2:3 (Length of the Flag is 1.5 times that of Breadth). All three colors of our Tiranga indicates three different values, the Deep Saffron color symbolizes courage and sacrifice, White represents honesty and purity and the Green color symbolizes the fertility and growth of our land. It was designed by an Indian Freedom Fighter named Pingali Venkayya in the year of 1931 and finally adopted in its present form on 22 July 1947.

Now star was replaced by lotus buds with the same eight in numbers after which it was also called kamal flag. It was first hoisted in Parsi Bagan in Calcutta on 7 August 1906 by Surendranath Banerjee. The creator of this Calcutta flag was Sachindra prasad Bose and Sukumar Mitra.

Now the Indian flag has extended boundaries and was hoisted on Germany on August 22,1907 by Madam Bhikaji Cama with some minor changes in the flag. And after the hoisting is was named ‘Berlin Committee Flag’.
Yet another flag was made with khadi cloth by Pingali Venkayya. Flag with two color red and green adding spinning wheel on Mahatma Gandhi’s suggestion. But later on, it was rejected by Mahatma Gandhi as the color selection red symbols Hindu and white as Muslims which appear as representing two different religions and not as one.
Where the flag was changing its color the country was changing its shape and was continuing growing and developing parallel to the national flag. Now, the final Indian National flag was hoisted in 1947 and since then the rules were set with each parameter about color, cloth, and even the thread.
